The Senior Dog Wellness Guide (ebook)
The Senior Dog Wellness Guide (ebook)
"Loved this book. Even if people have owned a "senior" dog before, I am sure there will be something to learn from this book as I have."
"Highly recommended!"
"Great book written with compassion and much knowledge. Very useful to have all this information all together in one book so that we can view the dog's needs in old age holistically."
"You spend a lot of money because you want what is best for your best friend, your dog. No money will be better spent than buying and reading this book."
Loving a senior dog is a special kind of bond. They know our every movement, and we know theirs. Their eyes may grow foggy, and they might need an extra light to find their way for a midnight bathroom break.
They might even choose a hard floor over that fancy memory foam bed. And when they start ignoring you, you might wonder—are they going deaf or simply doing things their way now?
These "sugar nose" years are as precious as puppyhood, if not more so.
Our forever dog, who has been by our side for years, becomes part of our very heartbeat, an inseparable piece of our lives. But how do we make sure they stay healthy, happy, and comfortable?
In This Book, You Will Learn:
- The incredible history of how dogs made it into our homes and hearts.
- Why nutrition is critical for your senior dog’s health and longevity.
- How to monitor your dog’s health at home and why keeping records is essential.
- Mental stimulation games to keep your senior dog engaged and happy.
- How to check your dog's vital signs and recognise any signs of discomfort or illness.
- How to manage aches and pains, when to consider medications, and how supplements or therapies can help.
- Common age-related illnesses and how to manage them effectively.
- How to monitor and assess your dog’s quality of life as they age.
This guide will not only give you practical tips on how to care for your older dog but will also help you appreciate the quirks and beauty of their senior years.
From monitoring their health to ensuring they are mentally stimulated and comfortable, this book is the perfect handbook for anyone caring for their forever friend.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has an aging dog. Mine is a thirteen year old tripaw lurcher who we rescued aged six, so we only knew the teenager and now the golden oldie
Another brilliant, helpful read by Sally. Clearly written and understandable, this book has made me think about what changes I need to make for my boy as he goes into his twilight years. Have tissues to hand though, especially the final chapter - admitting to ourselves that our furbabies are in their final stage of life is so difficult.
Some good advice
You helped me through the last month's with my boy..... helping understand his wants and needs. The toughest journey........EVER. The longest Goodbye!
My dog is approaching the senior age so I wanted to see if I can get some tips. This book has helped me to understand his problems better and some things I have already started, like better quality food and massage. He loves it!
